Program 1

OVER-THE-RHINE FOUNDATION: Over-the-Rhine was placed on the National Trust for Historic Preservation's list of Most Endangered Historic Places in America. OTRF is working to preserve, protect and celebrate OTR through public awareness & education, preservation & redevelopment standards, protective actions, and celebrations. OTRF developed and distributes Infill Guidelines, a set of illustrated guidelines supporting the integration of new constructioninto the neighborhood in a manner that is respectful of the existing OTR Historic District. OTRF conducted the OTR Green-Historic Study and continues to work with Habitat for Humanity, OTR Community Housing, SOL Developments and other partners in environmental sustainability.

FUTURE LEADERS OVER-THE-RHINE: (Fiscal Sponsorship) FL-OTR is a neighborhood youth program designed to equip the youth of OTR (grades 7-12) with personal and professional skills to lead their community and to support achievement of their goals.

ROTHENBERG ROOFTOP GARDEN: (Fiscal Sponsorship) RRG is an innovative, hands-on educational program built around an actual garden maintained on the roof of CPS's Rothenberg Preparatory Academy (pre-k thru 6). RRG engages community members while providing outstanding, hand-on programs integrating math, science and language arts learning with development of critical thinking skills and fostering stewardship of surroundings and community.
