Mission

The purpose of the Japanese Cultural Fair is to provide an opportunity for the community to increase its awareness and understanding of Japanese culture. We believe that through increased education and exposure to the culture of Japan, we can help to improve mutual understanding among neighbors of the Pacific Rim and enrich the community of Santa Cruz.

Japanese Cultural Fair

For three decades, the fair has provided an opportunity for members of the Santa Cruz County community and all attendees to increase their awareness and understanding of Japanese culture, both traditional and contemporary. Through the arts, crafts, and culture of Japan, the fair strives to improve mutual understanding among Pacific Rim neighbors, as well as to enrich community life in the area.
Through the decades, The JCF has increased the activities and events it provides to the community and continues to do so.
