What we aim to solve
There is no silver bullet to ending poverty. The issue is so complex that strategies to ending poverty have to be carefully catered to each situation. Empowering individuals has proven to be a key way to address the complexity of poverty and provide a sustainable solution that enables communities to free themselves and future generations from the chains of impoverishment. Ten Thousand Villages empowers individuals and communities through long term fair trading relationships. We create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to the North American market.
