What we aim to solve
We are seeking to acquire more grant funding to help fund our philanthropic programs.. We are working towards obtaining more and better exposure within the Saddleback Valley area.
Our programs

Operation School Bell
Benefits disadvantaged students in kindergarten through high school with new school clothing to promote improved self image, subsidizes transportation costs for Science Field Study Program and provides support for literacy by assisting teachers in the classroom.
Operation Camp Pendleton
Provides school clothing to children of Marine families at Camp Pendleton
Links to Learning
This program awards funds to intermediate and high school teachers allowing them to purchase additional tools to enrich classroom learning as well as expand the existing curriculum with new innovative approaches
Adopt-A-Family
Chapter members and Assisteens auxiliary provide food, clothing and special items to disadvantaged families in need during the holidays
Science Field Study
Science Field Study provides funds to the Saddleback Valley Unified School District to subside transportation costs for science programs held at Trabuco Elementary School.

What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Assistance League of Saddleback Valley currently has a membership of 179 dedicated women and teens;
We maintain strong working relationships with community leaders---business owners, educators, healthcare professionals and other decision-makers in our community;
We review and update annually an effective five year Strategic Plan; and
We continue to develop additional sources of income such as gifts and grants.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Assistance League of Saddleback Valley has clothed over 1,200 children attending our local elementary and high schools. Through continued fundraising events and pursuit of grants, our goal is to provide clothing to double the number of children in the schools we service.
For the past 20 years, we have subsidized transportation costs for students participating in the Trabuco Elementary School Science Field Study program, averaging approximately 2,100 students annually.
Through Links to Learning teachers have been awarded funds for materials and equipment to enhance libraries and classrooms which benefited more than 20,000 students and impacted 556 classes.
Every year we deliver over 1,500 meals to house-bound seniors.
Through our Adopt-A-Family program, members provide families with food at Christmas which includes a family gift.
We provide bags of newborn baby items to needy families in our local hospitals. Through this program, we utilize the talents of our seniors in the community who donate many hours of their time knitting the newborn sweaters, hats and blankets.
Through Operation Camp Pendleton we provided jeans to approximately 450 girls with the need increasing every year. Through our Legacy of Learning program, preschool children are given new books
Approximately 2,205 pounds of food is collected through our Community Connections program which estimates to feed 55 needy families.
