Conferences, retreats, and other opportunities for spiritual renewal, networking, and information about events and resources available to them.2022 Accomplishments include: Book Club Discussions held in February, June and NovemberConversations about Racism, six conversatoins April, May, June, and July. Three conversations around Esau McCaulley's book, Reading While Black The Springs - Three Rivers March 30-April 1, 2022 & October 19-21, 2022: Contemplative retreat for women in ministryPastors Wives Newport Beach Retreat September 30-October 2, 2022 | Pajaro Dunes: April 29-May 1, 2022: Times for worship and praying together In person Gatherings, Modesto/Oakdale, January, May, August, and October and Bakersfield: Small group gatherings / mini retreat and time for prayer.NEWIM- Capetown three times a year Beautiful day Retreats: NEWIM-US sponsors 16-19 ladies with a full scholarship to each of the three Beautiful Day retreats.Training Video: Advice for how to invite, prepare, and plan the food, including their favorite recipes, ways they approach facilitating the retreat and putting together the schedule.Latino Women's Half-Day Retreat, Three Rivers, CA: A group of eleven Spanish speaking pastor's wives and church leaders in a half day retreat.Writer's Group- Met monthly to share writing with each other and receive feedback and encouragement. Held a Writer's Getaway Oct 18-19, 2022, a 24 hour retreat, encouraging women in their writing projects. Women received expert personalized guidance and instruction for their projects. Several women who attended the Writers' Getaway have published books. Leadership Team Retreat: Oct 14-16, 2022 at St Anthonys Retreat Center. Leaders were updated regarding recent decisions and were trained in Intercultural Development by Steve Wong, MDiv, PhD. Goal Teams shared their work.Social MediaNEWIM posts multiple times a week to Facebook, Twitter,and Instagram with a Monthly newsletterPrayer @ 2 on Thursdays: Women meet for prayerCreated video interviews with women in ministryNEWIM's Youtube channel; had 1,426 people view the videosThe three goal teams (creating safe spaces, becoming intentionally inclusive, and broadening participation/increasing engagement shared the work they've done this year with the whole group. We then worked in teams and talked about how to incorporate the work of the other teams into our work.Website And Online Retreat Resources - Use of the NEWIM website continues to grow. 8,039 different users (up 33%) who viewed over 13,000 pages (up 27%) on our website.
