Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Foundation aims to develop entrepreneurship education programs that aid entrepreneurs in business planning, startup and scaleup efforts, and obtaining access to capital, as well as initiatives focused on rejuvenating economic competitiveness in Northeast Ohio. In keeping with our mission to champion the entrepreneurial spirit, Burton D. Morgan Foundation seeks to support programs and projects at the youth, collegiate, and adult levels that are designed to build competencies in entrepreneurship and innovation. For younger entrepreneurs, the Foundation seeks to help them build entrepreneurial skills and mindset through super-charged learning experiences that prepare them for venture creation and the future of work.

Morgan Foundation pursues its mission through grantmaking in support of Youth, Collegiate, and Adult Entrepreneurship; through regional ecosystem building to provide strong networks for startups and scaleups; and through knowledge sharing bolstered by its research arm, the Entrepreneurship Education Experiment.

Burton D. Morgan Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees with skills and experience in the field of entrepreneurship. The organization has a small dedicated staff with expertise in non-profit administration, grantmaking, ecosystem building, research, communications, and entrepreneurship.

Morgan Foundation has contributed significantly to the creation of a regional youth entrepreneurship ecosystem in collaboration with our education partners; spearheaded university-based entrepreneurship programs and collegiate ecosystem components across the Northeast Ohio region; and initiated robust programming and mentorship for adult entrepreneurs to support them as they start and scale ventures. The Foundation has also been a leader in promoting and forging connections between philanthropy and entrepreneurship.
