La Rabida Children's Hospital

For more than 125 years, families with children in need of specialized medical care have turned to La Rabida Children’s Hospital. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients who live with medically complex conditions, disabilities, chronic illness and those who have suffered abuse and trauma. Our philosophy is to treat the whole child, providing both inpatient and outpatient services in a nurturing environment that promotes healing and growth.

La Rabida helps transition children from neonatal or pediatric intensive care to home by providing medical, rehabilitative and developmental care, and by training families to continue treatment and manage necessary medical equipment in the home. La Rabida’s Chicago Children’s Trauma Center and the Children’s Advocacy Center treat children exposed to trauma, abuse and neglect. In addition, we serve as a Child and Family Connections agency and offer care coordination services for medically complex children.
