Mission

The Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago (CRLMC) promotes cooperation, understanding, and collaboration among the faith communities of Chicago to advance the common good. A non-profit organization comprised of the head religious leadership of virtually every major religious tradition in the Chicago area, CRLMC represents nearly six million people. CRLMC engages elected officials and public institutions on issues of public concern; conducts activities to promote interfaith cooperation, understanding, and respect; and provides support to local congregations and religious communities.

Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Observance

Prayers and Songs of Thanksgiving from the Religious Traditions of the Metropolitan Chicago Region.
Donations collected are used to buy holiday meals for those in need.

Faith communities are the locus of worship, celebration, instruction, and renewal for their
members. Faith communities address unmet needs and underserved populations in their communities.
City, county, and state officials turn to religious leaders and their facilities to respond to people’s
basic needs.
