Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Partners For Pets goal is to have no adoptable dog or cat euthanized at the local pounds. We are working to accomplish this by rescuing dogs and cats from local pounds especially animals that are sick or injured that have a slim chance of rescue. We are also providing low cost spay/neuter services to residents of Madison County, IL to help prevent unwanted animals from entering the pounds.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Partners For Pets will continue to rescue and rehab dogs and cats from local pounds before they are euthanized. We spay and neuter all of the animals before they are adopted which further reduces the chances of the rescued animals havving any unwanted litters. We will also continue to provide low cost spay/neuter surgeries to local residents. This is one of the main strategies to stop the intake of unwanted dogs and cats at the pound. Education of the public is also key to reduce the number of unwanted animals. Education on the benefits of spay/neuter, behavior training, and obedience training is also key in keeping dogs and cats out of the pounds.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Partners for Pets is very thankful to our supporters for truly believing in our rescue mission. Without your support we could not continue working towards of mission of rescuing injured and neglected animals from local area animal control facilities.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since our opening in 2002, Partners for Pets has rescued over 17,000 cats and dogs from euthanasia in local area pounds. Our hope is that Madison County Illinois Animal Control will reach no-kill status by 2021 by implementing TNR programs, spay/neuter clinics, vaccine and microchip clinics, and other forms of outreach to help owners keep their pets.
