The goal of these programs is to instill lifelong interest in conservation, ecology and sustainability. Beyond youth programs, the ICF works with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in several other statewide programs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Strategies to ensure success include fundraising to provide free youth programs, corporate partnerships and events that raise funds and new supporters.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
In order to meet goals, the ICF works with more than 10,000 donors as well as statewide friends groups and partners. The ICF also has the resources of the IDNR to help meet awareness and fundraising goals.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Accomplishments for the ICF include funding youth outdoors education programs, biodiversity field trips, backyard habitat grants, scholarships, land acquisition, reforestation, equipment purchases and more.
