Pet Therapy Assessments and Training Classes
Our Training & Accreditation program for owners and their dogs to be accredited at a Pet Therapy team. We offer :
* Knowledgeable and Dedicated Training Staff lead by Professional Dog Trainer
* Assessments and Training conducted within a Long-Term Care Facility provides teams hands-on practice
* Small classes create atmosphere of learning and sharing
* Placement support following successful program completion
* Opportunities for increased involvement, special events and group outings
* Graduates are able to apply for Canine Good Citizen designation through American Kennel Club.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Pets Helping People (PHP) is striving to increase the number of new handler/pet teams. In addition we are connecting and retaining our Facility Partners (places where our volunteer teams provide pet therapy visits). Lastly we are working on increasing our presence in the community via collaborative engagements and special events for PHP.
