Order of Christ Sophia Inc

The Order of Christ/Sophia, through its 15 Centers of Light, provides spiritual development opportunities through meditation, prayer, worship, and spiritual community, all aimed at increasing inner peace and world peace. An online radio station is managed, called SophiaRadio.com, CD's of original spiritual music is produced through SophiaRecords.com, online presence is held through 15 websites including blog and podcasts. At the Sophia Retreat Center, a new program is starting up to provide reduced rate or free retreat facilities for non-profits who have limited financial means by fundraising for their retreat costs. A Peace Temple is being designed and through a capital campaign started in November 2007 funds will be raised to build this Temple aimed at bringing together people of all faiths to pray for peace. The "Books for Tanzanian Children Project" is newly established in November of 2007 to gather story books and send them to Tanzania for preschool aged orphans who lack such resources. The Order of Mercy (a sub-0rder)has its members visiting the elderly who have no one left in their lives, and organizing street cleaning events in their neighborhoods. Our Youth Program promotes harmonious and honest relating between young people, stressing honoring one's self, others and this planet.
