Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
MCC Choirs
MCC provides 32 weeks of choral instruction to youth grades 1-12 from 7 counties and more than 150 schools. MCC teaches through performance. It presents 4-5 major shows each season. And because of collaborations with others, MCC singers are featured in more than 40 performances each season. Through music instruction and performance, choir members learn teamwork, discipline, grace under pressure, responsibility and other life skills. They have an outlet for their creativity, they learn to better express themselves, and they further their social skills.
Emily Crocker Scholarship Fund
The Emily Crocker Scholarship Fund’s need-based tuition assistance component makes evening choir membership possible for City of Milwaukee students who successfully audition into the program but require financial assistance to participate. As MCC's signature community engagement initiative, the Emily Crocker Scholarship Fund is a critical driver of MCC's mission by delivering programming to Milwaukee-area children who desire to sing but have little or no access to music and choral education. Ultimately, by engaging children from all segments of the Milwaukee community, the Emily Crocker Scholarship Fund also helps realize an organizational vision and strategic plan goal of diversified membership and participation.
