Individual Support

Individual Support involves development & management of individual service plans that assesses, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, & evaluates options & services needed by the person with epilepsy that is epilepsy specific.

Population(s) Served
Adults
Children and youth

Program provides training and information to the community, people with epilepsy/seizure disorder, and to schools. We target schools to assist school personnel who work with children who have this disorder. We also target First Responders (police, paramedics, fire dept. etc.), veterans, emergency medical personnel and youth.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Finding meaningful employment is one of the biggest challenges faced by people living with epilepsy. Employers have been able to successfully terminate the employment of people who have seizures in the workplace, although the seizures may not affect their work. The ultimate desired outcome of employment assistance is competitive employment for persons with epilepsy. Also to provide on-going information & assistance with ADA law, workplace discrimination, & epilepsy disclosure. Our goal is to assistant those with epilepsy in finding meaningful employment while also educating employers about the disorder and how a person living with epilepsy can make a successful difference in their company.
