What we aim to solve
Our organization's programs empower the most vulnerable people among us to improve their quality of life. Opulent Philanthropy provides shelter, food, and water to people during natural disasters to people who have to evacuate to save their lives. Our organization also helps when people become homeless due to unemployment, drug abuse, domestic abuse etc., We provide them with necessities such as shelter, food and water. When cancer strikes, often people cannot afford medical supplies or insurance deductibles. We offer financial assistance to families in need. We have programs that support education by providing grants for underprivileged students enrolled in an accredited university.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Homeless Assistance
We provide assistance to people that may become homeless for many reasons: Some people may lose their jobs an spiral into poverty and be unable to pay for their home, and end up homeless. Many people use drugs, and the drugs take over their lives, and they become unable to function in society properly to maintain shelter, and they become homeless. Some people enter into an abuses relationship and have to leave their home to survive. No matter how someone becomes homeless we want to help them get back on the right track and become a productive member of society. We will assist them by providing shelter, food, water, and rehab assistance if needed. Throughout the United States.
Disasters
Disaster relief: Providing shelter, food and water during events such as hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, landslides, and tornadoes. Natural disasters seem to become more destructive as each year pass. These events are taking a tool on people lives like we have never seen before. People are losing their homes to these disasters and may not have the insurance to rebuild. They may lose their jobs because the shelter they may have to live in may not be in the same city or state. They may lose their car and have to start their lives completely over. It's hard to phantom if you have not been affected by a disaster and only have the clothes on your back after the destruction these disasters cause. Throughout the United States.
Breast Cancer
Providing financial assistance to help people that is hospitalized due to cancer. Our organization support patients with cancers of the breast, lung, colon, melanoma skin, leukemia, pancreatic, brain, liver, cervical, Esophageal, Colorectal, and Prostate, throughout the United States.
Education
Providing grants for underprivileged students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States. Education Is Valuable: It turns out that, despite the insistence of some, college is still incredibly valuable. The statistics prove that opting out of a university degree will dramatically hurt people in the long run, damaging their earning potential, increasing the likelihood of unemployment, and decreasing job satisfaction.
Seventy two percent of millennials ages 25-32 Say their degree has already paid off. The simple fact is that you make more money when you go to college. College grads age 25-32 earn $17,000.00 more each year.
Millennials without a degree are three times more likely to say their job is just to help them get by. They live from paycheck to paycheck, have almost zero job satisfaction. Almost four times more millennials without a college degree live in poverty. The path out of poverty almost always run through college. Throughout the United States
Support Victims of Wildfires in France, Spain
Wildfire Relief: Providing shelter, food, and water. A heat wave fueled wildfires in Spain and France, which evacuated thousands of people and scrambled water-bombing planes and firefighters to battle flames spreading through tinder-dry forests. Authorities started evacuating more towns, moving another 11,500 people from areas at risk of finding themselves in the path of the fires and their thick clouds of choking smoke. That will take the number of people who have been forced out of their homes in the Gironde region to nearly 28,000 since the wildfires began July 12. More than 200 reinforcements headed to join the 1,500-strong force of firefighters battling night and day to contain the blazes in the Gironde, where flames neared prized vineyards and the Arcachon maritime basin More than 30 forest fires around Spain have forced the evacuation of thousands of people and blackened 220 square kilometers (85 square miles) of forest and scrub.
