Mission

Molino de Suenos/Windmill of Dreams Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a place where different species of abandon and neglected animal species coexist. We are located in Bigfoot, Texas. Each animal has been rescued and pampered back to health and has a story to tell. As time has passed, we have realized the community needs education and help with problematic situations that often arise with pets in different circumstances. We hope to visit schools and other settings to share what we have learned and hopefully create a change of attitude towards animals and the environment. The main task of the Windmill of Dreams is to turn the rescued animals in need, into special friends that would be a part of your family, part of our Animal Assisted Therapy program, or part of our community education programs. We also offer case-by-case solutions when problematic situations arise with pets and their owners. When necessary, we can also help find homes for animals when their owners find themselves in extreme situations and need to re-locate their pets. We hope to raise awareness for animal cruelty and neglect, provide educational assistance to pet owners and animal related therapy including equine therapy to children and adults.
