What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Razom for Ukraine, Inc. (“Razom") was born in January 2014, out of a fervent desire to advance the goals of Ukraine's modern citizenry, and finally bring a geopolitically, economically and culturally significant Eastern European country out of its murky Soviet past.

The path from kleptocracy to democracy, however, still remains obstructed by the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia, a Russian-funded invasion of eastern Ukraine in Donas that has lead to entrenched war and endemic corruption within political and economic spheres of society.

For those fighting, literally and figuratively in post-Maidan Ukraine, slow systemic change and outside aggression has lead to fatigue and increased ambivalence within the populace, threatening to undo the momentum created by the Revolution of Dignity.

Razom's work has never been more relevant.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

RazomCulture

This program celebrates and promotes awareness of Ukraine's vibrant art and culture through a variety of collaborations and events in the United States.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Razom Health supports hospitals and other healthcare institutions that serve the civilian population in Ukraine. What started in 2016 as a training program for Ukrainian neurosurgeons has grown into a multifaceted initiative responding to a humanitarian crisis.

Razom Health now works with a network of international organizations on in-kind medical donations, distribution of medical aid, and medical missions to provide life-saving tools and training. Above all, our aim is to help the Ukrainian healthcare system effectively respond to the current humanitarian crisis–and to emerge from this crisis stronger and more resilient than ever.

Population(s) Served

Today, the sovereign nation of Ukraine has to deal with the most horrendous and brutal invasion. Razom Heroes is responding to this by providing critical humanitarian relief depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve. Razom Heroes is delivering life-saving aid to the first responders and front-line medics. We are focused on delivering tactical medicine items, hospital supplies, and tech-enabled emergency response supplies that facilitate the delivery of this aid.

Population(s) Served

Razom Advocacy is a branch of Razom for Ukraine committed to advancing policy for Ukrainian victory, and to nurturing community engagement across the United States and Ukraine. We work together with experts, policy-makers, and constituents to help build a more democratic and prosperous Ukraine.

Population(s) Served

Razom Relief aims to help local Ukrainian volunteer organizations to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the war.

Razom Relief (initially Razom Grants) emerged in March 2022 in response to the humanitarian crisis resulting from Russia’s full-scale invasion. The Razom Relief mission is to support local NGOs and volunteer organizations that help civilians and strengthen Ukrainian civil society. We constantly stay in touch with our grantees and other Ukrainian organizations, evaluating their requests, assessing the impact, and finding new ways to help.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our mission is to foster Ukrainian democracy and civil society through a global network of experts and organizations supporting democracy activists and human rights advocates throughout Ukraine.

We maintain a relentless focus on the needs on the ground in Ukraine and on the opportunities to amplify voices from Ukraine in conversations in the United States.

By working with civil society in Ukraine and educating the Ukrainian and American public about the situation there, Razom works to ensure a Ukraine that is democratic, free from corruption, and integrated into the global economy.

We are driven by the shared principles of transparency, innovation, experimentation and tolerance with a strong bias towards action.

Our most valued resource is our global network of volunteers. Our volunteers are professionals in their fields who offer this services and expertise pro bono to accomplish the goal of a democratic Ukraine. We have active teams in New York, Washingon, D.C., Kyiv, and Philadelphia.

We have connected people throughout the United States and
throughout Ukraine who have worked together on a variety of
projects that got citizens to be more involved and that made
more voices be heard in conversations around the world. The
post-Maidan generation is emerging, growing and learning. https://razomforukraine.org/about-us/annual-reports/
