Mission

Rainbow Family 808 is a 501(c)(3) group of Straight and LGBT families dedicated to peace & justice through education and support. The focus is on assisting Youth Outreach (YO) of Waikiki center for all homeless youth who are living on the streets and Residential Youth Services and Empowerment (RYSE) where houseless young adults can find shelter and a variety of services. We collect funds, food, and clothes for homeless youth and work for permanent shelters for them. We buy food items for RYSE and YO that they cannot get through other sources. Rainbow Family 808 also help any other person or organization that may need our assistance. We believe at Rainbow Family 808 love makes a family.

Program 1

Rainbow Family 808 provided backpacks, extra food items and essentials during the holidays. Provided food and other items for the celebration of life for the passing of a young homeless woman. Provided additional food items so the youth could celebrate various holidays. Provided nonperishable items to the survivors of the Maui wildfire. Assisted other nonprofits is carrying out their mission. Since our contributions were low during COVID-19, we request a grant from the City and County of Honolulu. We received two payments. One for $1110 and another for $8575. This helped fund our donations to RYSE and YO and Maui relief.
