PTA Texas Congress

To meet the aim of promoting collaboration and engagement of families and educators with each child, we sponsored school-wide programs to help bring families into the school and connect with the children and each other, help the children to connect with their teachers and administrators outside of the classroom, and help enrich the educational experience of the children through assemblies. We hosted a Trunk-or-Treat, Movie Night, Holiday Shop for the children and parents to buy inexpensive gifts and to learn budgeting, sponsored an anti-bullying assembly, as well as a Dallas Zoo assembly, and helped to purchase items for a STEAM night run by the teachers. All 860 students were benefited by these programs.

To help the teachers better engage with the children by promoting the emotional well-being of the teachers, we helped with several initiatives for the teachers. This included teacher luncheons, small "welcome back" kit items, and tshirts purchased for the teachers during teacher appreciation week. All 70 teachers and staff were benefited by these endeavors.
