PAWS AND CLAWS KOOCH COUNTY
Rescue is the only option
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The problem in fundraising is the number of involved members and people willing to come out and support us. We need more people from our community plugged into what we are doing, how we are doing it and help us come up with a strategy to help us succeed. Because of lack of participation, it limits us to the amount of animals we can help.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
No Pet Goes Hungry
working with the Salvation Army we donate pet food to the food bank for people in our community. When no food is available, we give out food vouchers so that no pet goes hungry

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
1. Increased membership
2. More education and awareness on what we do and why
3. Active involvement with the community.
1. We hope to increase the number of members to our organization by 2. getting the word out about us, in the media and hopefully that will spark more 3. Active involvement from the community
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Through Radio talks, articles in the newspapers, being involved in community events like parades, sidewalk sale days or anything that can help us get our name out in the community. Also thru programs for our community like no pet goes hungry and orange Collar actions.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We already have a weekly article called, "Pawgress Report" that airs on Saturdays.
We also are a member of KCC-TV in Int'l Falls and are a member of our Chamber of Commerce.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have implemented in our community:
1. No pet goes hungry program
2. Orange collar action for visitors to quickly identify their pets by a simple orange collar that we provide should they go missing.
3. medical emergency assistance for pets and strays so no animal has to suffer due to lack of funds.
4. Aiding in finding lost pets and rehoming pets
5. Transporting animals to other agencies
6. Education to children and providing pet therapy to the elderly
