What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Boulder Municipal Court Project

During the academic year, CU Boulder law students provide pro bono representation at Boulder Municipal Court. During summer when students are away, J-SUP volunteer attorneys will provide 50 clients with representation. J-SUP is also working with Longmont Municipal Court to bring J-SUP's services to Longmont.

Population(s) Served
Homeless people

The Colorado ID Card Project helps clients who have lost their ID, which prevent them from accessing services designed to help them. J-SUP coordinates volunteer attorneys to assess and implement steps to obtain ID cards for clients. J-SUP is in the process of launching an online portal that partners (Bridge House, HOPE, others) will use to onboard homeless clients who need to obtain a new ID.

Population(s) Served

To educate clients and legal advocates, J-SUP will offer workshops on legal issues that homeless individuals endure -- public and disability benefits; expungement or sealing of criminal records; and how attorneys can work with social workers, health care providers, and housing advocates.
