Intern Foundry Program
Intern Foundry Program (IF) is a student managed program with an objective to reduce the Brain Drain in Nebraska by pairing talented students with nonprofits and purpose-driven companies that serve our community’s deepest needs. Partnered with the UNL Honors program, educational aspects of IF are prioritized. Before beginning their internships, students participate in a project management course that educates them about purpose-driven work and provides a toolbox of transferable project management skills to use throughout the internship and beyond. The framework for this course is modeled after the Nebraska Department of Education’s “Work-Based Learning” (WBL) strategies, ensuring that this opportunity enriches the interns’ educational experiences. The final product of this course is a project plan, which serves as a framework for the internship with outlined tasks, self-prescribed deadlines, and deliverables.
BASE CAMP Foundry
Base Camp Foundry is a program offering project-based solutions to help nonprofits build grant writing, data, and marketing capacity. Through a one year membership with the Foundry, nonprofits will have the opportunity to embark on a tailor-made project to boost the grant and marketing capabilities needed to summit their next hill or just cross their next finish line.
