Mission

Our mission is to rescue dogs from rural high kill shelters, specializing in those with medical needs who might face euthanasia without urgent medical intervention. We are a no kill rescue, advocating and educating about the plight of shelter dogs.

Once rescued, dogs are made available for adoptions either in KY or remote sites on the east coast with regular transport to pre-approved and screened adopters. All dogs leaving our facilities are brought up to date on health care, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.

Puppies that come into our rescue undergo a minimum of 6 weeks observation for health issues.

Some of the medical emergencies we contend with range from skin issues due to mange, orphaned puppies, and parvovirus, all the way to chemical burns, broken limbs, eye injuries and physical impairments such as blindness, deafness and paralysis. Although a small rescue, we often tackle medical issues which require the care of veterinary specialists.

We are also very dedicated to ongoing support for adopters and all of our dogs for their lifetimes.

Another mission of ours is helping with the rescue and placement of dogs from the dog meat trade in countries like Korea and China.

Our rescue policy is to share the positive side of rescue through social media and highlight the qualities of shelter dogs.
