Mission

The mission of Rim of the World Special Athletes Foundation is to provide a safe and enjoyable recreational learning experience for individuals with disabilities. Rim Special Athletes, based in the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California, provides year-round activities for disabled athletes, including veterans. Sports and outdoor activities have essential importance in the life of a person with a impairment. Rehabilitative sports not only benefits the physical body, but also aids in socialization. Rim Special Athletes are individuals with visual and hearing impairments, amputations, spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Down Syndrome, Autism,and many other cognitive and physical disabilities.

Adaptive Sports Center

The mission of Rim of the World Special Athletes Foundation is to provide a safe and enjoyable recreational learning experience for individuals with disabilities. Rim Special Athletes, based in the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California, provides year-round activities for disabled athletes, including veterans. Articles in both local news papers and social media. Along with reaching out to VA hospitals within 200 miles.

Working with Media in Southern California and expanded our volunteer base.

Our program has become all year activities and number of participants has grown. We are now serving participants from the San Diego Veterans Hospital.
