Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Support

An independent organization, HAPS is the only resource in the greater Houston area that ensures the local Parkinsons community is supported by programs, empowered through education, connected to others, and embraced by a network who will be with them throughout their Parkinsons journey. All programs and services are free of charge.

HAPS currently offers 34 weekly virtual and in-person therapeutic exercise classes and 17 professionally moderated monthly support groups; education programs; social and enrichment activities; case management; monthly newsletters; home wellness checks; financial aid; transportation; and respite care. These programs and services improve understanding of this complicated disease; cultivate a greater sense of confidence and set the tone for positive long-term disease management strategies that allow individuals to manage symptoms and maintain independence as long as possible. All programming and services are tailored to the local community.
