Program 1
Xinos, (the females members of Beta Mu Chapter's youth group) thirty - two members from the age of 14 to 19, who attended five (5) different High School within Lake County. These young ladies were trained in achieving leadership in the community and striving to obtain higher education by ten(10) sorors of Beta Mu Chapter. The members participated in community outreach, service to nursing homes, community centers and other activities including the Holiday/Scholarship Ball.
Program 2
TEACH A RAMA: A "Mini Health and Educational Fair" is presented to the public each year free. This program is focus on better hel health and further education. Blood Pressure and cholesterol testing was done by professional volunteers. About 125 participants a attended along with Twelve (12) exhibitors. Five teachers were honored for their creativity in teaching.
Program 3
LOCAL/NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS: Beta Mu Chapter presents to local charitable agencies money, books, household items, etc, every year during the Holidays. Books, clothing and household items are donated by the members. The contribution to National and international Projects help to further education. BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM: The goals are to foster and expand the knowledge of the contribution of African A Americans. To develop within youth the knowledge of racial history and heritage.
