Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Organizational Objectives:

- Unbiased, scientific analysis on resource management practices
- Scholarships for graduate students and internships for undergraduate students
- Targeted research to expand industry knowledge and understanding of the materials life cycle from generation to final disposition
- Improved public awareness of the circular economy and environment, specifically as it relates to resource management
- Increased knowledge of sustainability practices through educational programs

1. Revise vision and mission, review organizational objectives and create a case for support
2. Create a plan for Board development and composition, ensure Staff organizational chart is clear with defined roles, create a succession plan for key roles and encourage coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities for Staff
3. Evaluate/update internal and external communication plan, identify/strengthen ways to ensure Data & Policy and Research efforts are communicated more broadly, enhance engagement/visibility of Board and Staff and ensure all staff/stakeholders can clearly communicate EREF's value proposition with external audiences and conduct industry/landscape scan to ID adjacent industries and develop a strategy for outreach with prospect stakeholders
4. Utilize internal/external assessment data to evaluate effectiveness, ID opportunities to leverage program efforts into new sectors or develop aligned efforts and establish key areas of research/data effort to prioritize focus and amplify impact
5. Hire a VP of Development, review Annual Fundraising Plan, formalize a planned giving process and establish metrics for fundraising performance
6. Perform an industry/sector landscape san to understand similar/complimentary work taking place and where EREF can leverage its work to meet needs/enhance work

EREF has a very dedicated staff that is goal driven, a very engaged Board of Directors and a large network of stakeholders/supporters.

New Mission and Vision statements were developed and launched.
Organizational objectives were revised and a clear organizational chart was developed.
A VP of Development was hired in 2021.
A marketing firm was hired in 2022 to define paths for EREF to communicate information on its scientific/educational programs.
A case for support was developed.
