Nauticus Programs & Activities

Nauticus is a maritime discovery center that hosts 350,000 visitors annually and is home to the Nauticus museum, Sail Nauticus sailing center, the Battleship Wisconsin and the Half Moone Center.
Key Programs:
Education Programs – Nauticus offers onsite, outreach and virtual education programs to schools that align with Virginia SOL requirements relating to the Maritime Environment, Industry & Military.
Sail Nauticus Academy – Free after-school program in partnership with Norfolk Public Schools providing 6th-8th grade students (on free or reduced lunch) with hands on STEM education and critical leadership skills.
Battleship Wisconsin – Serves as a tool to teach the history of the Navy & STEM education for thousands of students each year, provides TCC & Centura College students with real time trade work.
Youth Action Council – A dedicated group of Youth Volunteers who build leadership skills as they how to be advocates for our local environment and community.
