PreK - 8th Grade school

St. Pius X, a Purple-Star School, offers licensed PreK 3 & 4 programs, academically challenging curriculum K - 8th grade, high school credit classes, and technology-integrated lessons in all grades. Extracurricular activities: band, arts, sports.

We plan to build and operate an affordable childcare center for working-class families, with a capacity of 30 children ages 6 weeks to 2 years.

We are currently exploring the possibility of partnering with the Virginia Building Blocks for Families initiative through the office of the governor of Virginia and the Early Childhood Advisory Committee through the Virginia Department of Education. We have also identified eight private foundations that fund education efforts, and we will be writing letters of inquiry to start the grant application process.

We have a small, thriving school and and active Catholic parish that have been operating for more than 60 years. This childcare center would be an extension of our community and would serve a population that is underserved and often overlooked in our area.
