EVENTS INCLUDE THE NATO FLAG RAISING CEREMONY, ANNUAL PARADE OF NATIONS, NATOFEST, MAYOR'S RECEPTION, ZOO DAY, INDUSTRY ENGAGES NATO SYMPOSIUM, NATO NIGHT WITH THE NORFOLK TIDES AND NATO IN THE NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDEN.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - NORFOLK NATO FESTIVAL, INC. CONDUCTS VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND NORFOLK PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS. ALL NORFOLK PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO APPLY FOR THE MODEL NATO CHALLENGE, A SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION WHICH AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE TOP SIX FINALISTS. THE YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAM FACILITATES COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEPENDENT CHILDREN (14 - 18 YEARS OLD) OF NATO PERSONNEL WHILE SATISFYING DIPLOMA AND UNIVERSITY APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS. NNF ALSO WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE ACADEMY OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES AT ROSEMONT IN NORFOLK TO PROVIDE GUEST SPEAKERS FROM THE NATO COMMAND,PRESENTING INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR COUNTRIES, CULTURES, AND MILITARY ORGANIZATIONS.
