Mission

Mission Statement Shard Live Performance Collective's mission is to promote cultural and individual tolerance through theatre education programs and live performances in order to enhance societies' understanding of all races, religions, and traditions. The specific objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be: (a) to develop a multi-cultural youth outreach program that builds self esteem and encourages cultural tolerance by empowering each individual with the knowledge of not only their own culture's performance traditions, but also the performance traditions of their peers. (b) to provide education and instruction to troubled and disenfranchised youth in all aspects of theatre while recognizing each individuals potential strengths and encouraging growth in their area of interest. (c) to support live performers and theatre educators who are dedicated to providing innovative, theatrical experiences with social and cultural significance. (d) to accumulate information on diverse culture's customs and to formulate that information into homogeneous theatrical experiences. (e) to provide culturally enriching and affordable live performances. (f) to provide venues for creative artists of all nationalities to perform for live audiences. (g) to support and form alliances with public service organizations that foster cultural tolerance.
