Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We are currently experiencing the effects of COVID-19 and the risk of falling behind changing times. We have several new programs that we want to implement this year, but we do not have the funds to move forward. We have lost several members because their businesses did not survive the global pandemic. We have also lost partners due to downsizing and furlough. We strive to have a diverse board and membership but lack the proper people in place. We want to bring in a diversity and inclusion chair and build a committee that can propose new ideas and initiatives to bring more women of color.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
1. Increase in student participation
2. Implement a student/entrepreneur mentorship program
3. Expand our student scholarship program
4. Expand our programming for all women business owners
5. Create a diversity and inclusion chair and committee
6. And much more!
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
3. Good health and well-being: Bringing doctors and other local entrepreneurs to educate women on health-related topics such as heart health, holistic approaches to medicine, mindfulness coaches, etc.
4. Quality education: We want to create a mentorship program that will help push student entrepreneurs forward in their path.
5. Gender equality: We are working hard to advocate against the wage gap between men and women and to empower all women and girls.
8: Decent work and economic growth: We make sure that women have the same access as men. We provide tools and resources to help them grow their businesses and contribute to economic growth.
10. Reduce inequalities: Closing the wage gap and increasing the percentage of women-owned businesses.
16. Peace, justice, and strong institutions: Maintain inclusive membership and provide the same access to educational pieces to every woman and girl.
17. Partnerships for the goals: We work with colleges and universities and want to expand our scholarship program for student entrepreneurs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a solid board and strong member participation. We simply don't have the funds to move these beautiful ideas, projects, and initiatives forward.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
This past year, we gained 25 new members, granted five women of excellence an award and scholarship, gained two new strategic partners, and put on some robust educational programming!
This coming year, we want to implement a student entrepreneur mentorship program, expand our student scholarship program, enhance our diversity and inclusion efforts, and build new strong strategic partnerships.
