Philp Randolph Institute is to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged families by providing the necessary resources that improve their standard of living foster self improvement self empowerment and self sufficiency. What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

Civic and Voter Engagement Program. The North Carolina APRI Comprehensive Voter Registration Program concentrates its efforts on counties and precincts with high concentrations of African Americans Native Americans and rural areas inhabited by those disenfranchised by situation circumstance or indifference that appear to be excluded from political empowerment. Non-partisan get-out-vote-activity voter education activity and election protection program worked to increase Black and Native American participation in the electoral process. NCAPRI successfully operated Program Operation & Training Centers at Raleigh Charlotte Bladenboro Roanoke Rapids Durham and Jacksonville NC. The centers expanded functionality beyond GOTV activity for use in voter education and election protection activity. The goal of encouragement and expansion of Black and Native American political activity was achieved.

Capacity building community organizing and youth leadership development program. Our program serves to identify young leaders strengthen current leadership and support relationship building among NCAPRI leaders in order to increase the presence of trade unionists in the black community. The program serves to educate APRI members about national state and local policies which have direct impact on the Black and Native American community. Our program also served to educate the community on climate change environmental justice and green jobs. NCAPRI also works to develop black leadership in the trade union movement. Black labor leaders and community activists regularly turn to the Institute for training and networking contacts. leaders are important to the trade union movement to local APRI members serve in state legislatures school boards city councils local and international unions and governmental and communities and to our state and nation. Black labor leaders and community activists regularly turn to the Institute for training and networking contacts. The goal of encouragement and expansion of community activity was achieved.

Feed the Hungry Program. We operated a food pantry that feeds an average of 645 people per month. We arranged Covid-19 test sites and provided people with self test kits mask and other items. We did truck-to-trunk projects.
