What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

NC Native Plant

NCNPS has regular statewide meetings and field trips to natural areas for the enjoyment of native plants and wildflowers. Members assist with volunteer field projects in support of rare plant stewardship such as the NC Plant Conservation Program and its mission to conserve rare native plants. The Society promotes the propagation and use of the native plants in the landscape, in part through the publication of a native plant propagation manual. We give student scholarships for native plant research and to the Cullowhee Native Plant Conference at Western Carolina University. Grants are given to support land conservation and education about native plants and their habitats.
