What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Young Treasures Scholarship Competition

For nearly two decades the Young Treasures (formerly Pawleys Island Youth Arts) scholarship program has been identifying talented, young students who excel in music and visual arts.  During this time, nearly $80,000 in scholarships have been awarded to more than 100 students.
Scholarships help pay for one-year's private study.  Winners are asked to perform at various community events during the year, including a recital at the end of the scholarship year.
The scholarships are awarded, based on audition performances or juried art competitions.
Funds for the program are entirely from private individuals.  The number of scholarships awarded is based entirely on the money donated.
