Mission

The Mission of Beaufort Water Search and Rescue (BWSAR) is to conduct on-water search, rescue and recovery operations within the Beaufort County, SC area. This area of operations will include Port Royal and St. Helena Sounds, adjacent major & minor rivers, and creeks, associated wetlands and marshes. Also included are the immediate off-shore waters and inland rivers. Assist, support, and supplement federal, state and local emergency response and law enforcement agencies in the event of water-related incidents in the BWSAR area of operations.

Our Squad provides Search and Rescue services to the citizens of Beaufort County. We assist the public safety services as well as the Coast Guard to keep our waterways safe.
