What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Residential for Birthmothers

A Place For Us Residential Program is dedicated to helping young women break free from hopeless situations including crisis pregnancies, drug and alcohol addiction, depression, self-harm, self-destructive behaviors, suicidal tendencies, physical abuse, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, criminal background, and breaking a poverty stricken mentality.

The program seeks to help every resident, from minors (aged 13) to the age of 27, experience a better way of life through their time in the Learning Center where they participate in prayer, devotions, Bible studies, curriculum binder work, counseling sessions, music lessons, designing and selling jewelry, everyday life skill training, educational classes, and job skill preparation. Residents seeking change with a willing heart may enter the program free of charge. With 24-hour care, love, and supervision, residents are provided food, shelter, and other necessities.

Residents contribute to living at the ministry home and learn life skills by helping with chores, menu planning, and cooking. Activities such as devotions, movie night, and game night take place as part of the routine at the house. The goal of A Place For Us is to help all residents develop the skills they need for long-term success. Spiritual growth is enhanced through prayer time, journaling, and Bible studies. Residents are encouraged to continue their learning through various resources like resume building, budgeting, adoption, prenatal, parenting, nutrition, cooking, and so much more. A Place For Us also provides the opportunity for residents to have family or a support person, as well as the birth father, receive guidance and support through professionally guided meetings and other materials.

Each resident that completes the program has a graduation ceremony and a baby dedication, if applicable. At this point, they may work towards more freedom and responsibility by becoming a Lead Resident. Following this stage, residents may be offered housing in the Transitional Program, if available.

Within our Residential Program, there are two subgroups. Our Birthmother Program is for young girls and women who are pregnant. Our Girls in Crisis Program is for young girls and women who are not pregnant, but are still in need of our program's services.
