Mission

The primary mission of ArtsPower is to create inspiring, literature-based theatre for children and families that feeds children’s intellect while enhancing the cultural life of communities throughout America, giving children and their parents hope and providing them with powerful examples of how to be compassionate and fair minded members of society.

ArtsPower

ArtsPower's programs include: (1) creating 31 original musical and dramatic productions since 1985; (2) touring these productions to more than 750,000 people annually in more than 330 theatres, cultural centers, and schools in 45 states; (3) producing, managing, and marketing the ArtsPower Theatre Field Trip Series, a schooltime series reaching record-breaking audience of nearly 150,000 through 225 performances in 41 professional theatres in 14 states; (4) the creation of ArtsPower Study Buddy's, professionally-produced educational guides that are used in the classroom to enhance the experience of each Field Trip performances; (5) implementing ArtsPower's "Theatre Literacy Connection," our professional development training for teachers and in-class, skill-building program for students designed to bring dramatic arts techniques into the classroom to enhance teaching efficacy and advance literacy; and (6) presenting the ArtsPower Family Theatre Series, a series of weekend matinee performances for family audiences, staged in Montclair, NJ.
