Florida Stage's mission is to engage its audiences through the presentation of a literature of the theatre that deals with issues, ideas, and the innovative use of language, structure, and style. Florida Stage produces five new plays and a new, small-cast musical each season. 1st Stage, our new works festival, focuses on the newest plays and plays-in-development. Education programs include Student Matinees, the Royal Palm School partnership for students with severe disabilities, annual Young Playwrights and Student Monologue Festivals, and the Children of War program that connects local students with their foreign peers in countries that have seen conflict on their soil.
