What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Learning-to-Learn Skill, Reading to Self and Others
St. Mary Academy aspires to provide a safe environment, rooted in Catholic teachings, for a unique community of diverse learners, while nurturing spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical potential to help cultivate lifelong stewards of Christ. With nearly 20 years of excellence in exceptional education, St. Mary Academy empowers students in grades K-8. In a place they are free to learn in the way they do best, a strong foundation for future success begins. The dedicated, ESE certified teachers and licensed speech and language and occupational therapists take great pride in encouraging and fostering each child’s success. These therapies, as well as additional enrichment classes, allow students to continue to build their skills outside of the traditional core classes. Our teachers instruct students where they are ready to learn, taking careful consideration to close any gaps in learning while continuing to cultivate growth. Our data driven, leveled placement program helps our students strengthen their skills to achieve proficiency in all subject areas. As students show growth and mastery, they are consistently challenged at the next level. As the first STREAM certified school in the Diocese of Venice, we understand the importance of cross curricular instruction. Students at St. Mary Academy participate in hands on learning and problem solving throughout each of their classes. A STREAM education is the collaborative blending of six concepts (Science, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, through the platform of the Catholic faith in an exploratory and inquiry- based, technology-rich learning environment. Through STREAM, our lessons educate students for the future, make learning relevant, and emphasizes interdisciplinary connections. Safety at St. Mary is our top priority. Our fully enclosed campus and advanced security camera system demonstrates our commitment to the safety of our students, faculty and staff.
