What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Community Enrichment Grant
This grant program supports community-based projects that are consistent with the Community Foundation’s vision. These include projects that protect and advance the unique sense of place and natural environment found in the County, as well as projects that increase opportunities for people of all ages to lead healthy lives and to work, learn, create, contribute, and prosper.
This grant program is available to non-profit organizations that are based in Mendocino County or to any organization with a project that has specific benefit to Mendocino County residents. Priority is given to projects that have: a high degree of volunteer support; the energy and organizational capacity to be successful; activities that reach a broad cross-section of the communities they serve; the ability to improve the quality of life enjoyed by the general public or a broad sub-population (e.g., youth, elderly); and the ability to have a sustainable, long-term influence in the community.
The Angel Fund
The Angel Fund was created to provide assistance for families, children and elderly individuals who have short-term needs that cannot be met by other private or public programs. The goal is to contribute to the well-being of individuals and help them to move forward in their lives. The Angel Fund philosophy is that even small amounts of money, carefully used, can have an important and positive effect on someone’s life. Examples of assistance include, but are not limited to, medical, health & safety needs, school/educational needs, senior services, therapeutic equipment/activities, and/or work related requirements.

Scholarships
Scholarship funds are created by donors who want to help students pursue university, college or vocational educations, using criteria of the donor’s choosing. The funds can support students who are studying a particular subject, or graduating from a specific school
