BGCSAC Programs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento has been a leading provider of youth development programs and services to underserved youth since 1996. We know the hours between 3-6 PM are the peak hours for juvenile crime and experimentation with drugs, alcohol, and other risky behaviors. And children are facing more challenging obstacles than ever before - from food insecurity to a widening achievement gap. The Club reaches into the Greater Sacramento region's most vulnerable neighborhoods and serves over 3,000 youth annually. Our core beliefs are that all young people need: 1) A safe place to learn and grow, 2) Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, 3) Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and 4) Hope & opportunity. Our programs focus on three critical areas:
1. Academic Success & Career Readiness
2. Good Character & Citizenship
3. Healthy Behaviors & Lifestyle Choices
