Shepherds’ Support serves international ministry leaders through wholistic training that Encourages, Equips and Engages pastoral couples so that they can finish well in both their ministry and marriage as Gospel witnesses.

Our Core Values 1. Our focus is on the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our great unifier and peacemaker. 2. Our longing is to encourage national ministry leaders and their spouses to press on by giving them time as a couple to grow their marriage and strengthen their ministries together. We intentionally include the spouses at our conferences because in many countries wives are often overlooked when it comes to their important role in ministry. 3. Our goal is to equip leaders by providing reproducible teaching and tools so that both individually and as couples, the participants are better able to equip others. 4. Our approach engages a wide range of participants from varying denominations and theological persuasions. We bring leaders together where they can form natural networks and support groups to enhance their ministries. They return to their homes with renewed courage and a connection with other like-minded leaders.

Pastors and ministry leaders in many less resourced countries are laboring in their growing churches with limited resources and little help. This reality is what makes Shepherds' Support so strategically important. Shepherds' Support works with multi-skilled teams to multiply the ministries of our international colleagues through spiritual encouragement, practical equipping and relational engagement.

Our vision is to Advance the Kingdom of God to all people by encouraging, equipping and engaging ministry leaders to be effective for a lifetime of faithful ministry. Goals for 2020 have been to reach 600 Ministry Leaders and their Spouses will be encouraged and equipped to stay the course with strengthened marriages and engaged in ministry throughout 6 different nations. They will lead and train other leaders to evangelize and disciple thousands. By God's grace they will reach: + 4,500 new and growing believers throughout 10 regions in Peru + 1,500 new and growing believers throughout Cuba + 3,000 new and growing believers throughout Kenya + 1,500 new and growing believers throughout Armenia + 2,000 new and growing believers throughout The Republic of Georgia However, due to the travel restrictions brought about by the worldwide coronavirus pandemic several of our conferences have had to be rescheduled for later dates. In the meantime, we are actively working with our national partners through online encouragement, equipping and engagement.

Shepherd's Support works with national partners to host week long conferences for ministry leaders and their spouses. Each conference has three primary tracts: exegetical teaching, marriage and family, and practical ministry tools. These are taught by our growing international team of teachers who have demonstrated servant leadership and ministry skills and longevity.

Our national partners are key to both the pre-conference networking and post-conference follow through and ongoing engagement. We work to come alongside them in catalytic ways to resource and support their ministries.

In each country we promote our core values:

Shepherds' Support has a core teaching team of 11 teachers who all have extensive cross-cultural ministry experience and healthy family models. This team is supplemented by multiple international partners who also participate on our teaching teams. In addition, we have three regional partnerships that coordinate our ministry.

Currently, we have over 20 standing invitations to host conferences and we are building staff, teach team leaders and our financial capacities to meet this tremendous need throughout the world.

Our long-term goal is to equip and develop national leadership in each country that we serve in so that they will be able to continue and extend the impact of ministry on an ongoing basis. We will know that we are being effective when ministry leaders are coming together on their own to encourage, equip and engage one another to finish well in their marriage and ministry to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At that point, we will shift to developing new leadership in other nations so that the Kingdom of God will advance to all people through a lifetime of faithful ministry.

Shepherds' Support began in the fall of 2006 in response to a growing international need to strengthen and support ministry leaders serving their local churches. Over the past 12 years, God has allowed us to host 39 transformational conferences in 21 nations impacting thousands of leaders and the people they serve. In 2019, 520 Ministry Leaders and their Spouses will be encouraged and equipped to stay the course with strengthened marriages and engaged in ministry throughout 5 different nations. They will lead and train other leaders to evangelize and disciple thousands. By God's grace they will reach: + 4,500 new and growing believers throughout 10 regions in Peru + 3,000 new and growing believers throughout 11 of the regions in Cameroon and Chad + 1,500 new and growing believers throughout the eastern regions of Ukraine + 2,000 new and growing believers throughout Moldova + 1,500 new and growing believers throughout Belarus

What significant change resulted from feedback
Each conference presents its own unique challenges. Some of our feedback from the Cameroon conference resulted in some changes to future facility choices. Some responses from the Ukraine conference allowed us to serve a pastoral couple in need. This also helps inform our Board Members about key metrics for each conference.
