Training 2 Work Reentry
Providing case management, job training, mentoring and support services for people returning home from prison.
Re-entry Programs for formerly incarcerated populations
Goodwill provides comprehensive,
individualized and evidence-based
programming that helps formerly incarcerated
citizens find and keep a job. Outreach begins
before incarcerated populations are released
from local, parish, state and federal facilities.
Wrap-around services include job training,
mentoring, case management and
employment placement services.
Youth Aging Out of Foster Care
Independent living, experiential training and peer support, case management services. One time housing start up services for 18-26 year olds.
Home At Last Housing for Veterans
In collaboration with Unity of Greater
New Orleans, Goodwill connects homeless
veterans with disabilities to stable housing,
job training, education and employment support
services.
Youth Mentoring Services
Goodwill provides job readiness and soft
skills training, mentoring and a career
exploration curriculum to eligible at-risk and
out of school youth, between the ages of
17-24, to guide them onto a path of vocational
and educational success.
Employment services for individuals with disabilities
Goodwill provides
vocational assessment, job readiness
training, supported employment and direct
employment placement services for people
with disabilities. Goodwill also provides
Pre-Employment Transition Services to youth
with disabilities to assist their transition to
post-graduation opportunities and
employment.

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana has a high performing executive and senior leadership team. Its training programs are nationally certified and it operates a school program that is certified by the Louisiana Board of Regents.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Goodwill's training to work programs for formerly incarcerated has a low 10% recidivism rate. By comparison, the recidivism rate for the state of Louisiana is 48%. Goodwill provided services to 2,962 individuals in 2017 and placed 302 into sustainable employment.
