What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Catholic-affiliated entities within the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown have little experience in establishing revenue streams that provide long-term benefits to supplement current revenue streams. The Independent Catholic Foundation seeks to motivate individuals and families to establish permanent endowments that provide long-term benefits through annual distributions in perpetuity.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We aim to establish Catholic-affiliated entities as worthy recipients of endowment distributions through bequests and other estate planning strategies.

(1) To increase awareness of the Independent Catholic Foundation among Catholics within the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown; (2) to position the Foundation as a planned giving partner with Catholic-affiliated entities; (3) to reinforce our commitment to socially-responsible Catholic investment practices.

We are implementing a strategic plan that focuses on these strategies.

We have increased awareness through regular print advertising and social media posts. We have also seen an increase in the number of new endowments and dollars contributed.
