Mission

To promote community development through assisting Oklahomans with disabilities of all ages and their family members, guardians, advocates, authorized representatives and other appropriate individuals to increase understanding, access to and acquisition of assistive technology through financial loans, financial education, and other identified resources.  We offer these lending services to provide financing options to individuals who are underrepresented in the financial markets.

Financial Loans to Purchase Assistive Technology

OkAT partners with Oklahoma ABLE Tech and BancFirst of Stillwater to offers low interest 8% loans to Oklahomans with disabilities for the purchase of assistive technology and durable medical equipment. These loans offer flexible underwriting and repayment terms. Unsecured loans (for example: hearing aids and daily living aids) are offered directly thought the non-profit and secured loans (for example: modified vehicles) are offered through BancFirst. In addition to the loans, financial education is provided to all applicants including a credit report review and financial education materials.

OkAT works in partnership with ABLE Tech to to provide a durable medical equipment (DME) reutilization program.  Donations of DME are accepted, refurbished, repaired and then redistributed to Oklahomans in need at no cost to the consumer.
