Summer Adventure & Learning
Summer Adventure is designed to help children prevent “summer slide” or summer learning loss.
Homework Helpers
The Homework Helpers program provides free help to students in Kindergarten through eighth grade and assists students with homework on any subject and to provide consistent mentorship and educational support throughout the calendar year. Participating branch locations serve students 4 days a week for 3 hours in the afternoons. Helpers are available to students as skilled aides and also act as mentors—delivering positive educational assistance in a student-centered manner. Each Homework Helper is provided with a laptop computer and is strategically placed in branches where there are unmet educational needs. As many students are already in branches after school and during the summer, the Homework Helper program provides additional structured individual attention to help drive student achievement, confidence and life-long success.
