Mission

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center cultivates, promotes and preserves traditional and contemporary Chicano, Latino and Native American arts and culture through multidisciplinary programming.

Notes from the nonprofit

The Guadalupe continues to grow and thrive after more than 30 years, serving as a beacon of arts and culture on San Antonio's historic Westside. Future plans, as of FY 2015-2016, start the renovation of the historic Progreso Pharmacy, the Cesar Chavez Building into an Artist Incubator and Lab, and the restoration of the Guadalupanita Cafe into a restaurant -- all as part of the Cultural Corridor initiative developed by San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro.
