Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Katy Heritage Society
We have five buildings, the Wright Museum, the Featherstone house, the Stockdick house, the Humble gas plant mess hall and the old Katy Post Office. We have moved our buildings to one central location to build a new park. The houses have been restored and are open to the public the first weekend of every month. We also have a new bandstand from which we present free concerts on the first Sunday evening of each month. We are working to raise funds to build a replica general store and hope to acquire an old school building and church to add to our heritage park. We also operate the MKT depot as a railroad musuem, it is located near the park and is open every day except Sunday.
Newspaper Preservation
Preservation of digital and physical newspapers dating back to the early 1900s.
