What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
JA Finance Park
JA Finance Park is a program dedicated to educating middle and high school students in the basics of financial literacy: budgeting, investing, managing risk - all while reinforcing the value of education and how it affects one’s future. Students become empowered with the skills and inspiration needed to create a better tomorrow for themselves and our community.
JA Elementary Grades Programs
JA's Elementary Programs are the foundation of its K-12 curricula. Seven sequential themes, each with five hands-on activities, work to change kids' lives by helping them understand business and economics.
JA Middle Grades Programs
JA's Middle Grade Programs include economics and business curricula for sixth through eighth grade students. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students promotes active learning and brings theory to life.
JA High School Programs
JA's High School Programs are economic and business curricula for students in grades 9-12 and include a student-led enterprise. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students promotes active learning and brings theory to life.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
JA's goal is to impact the lives of tomorrow's workforce by providing a connection between what is learned in school and the real world. JA programs are designed to bridge the gap between education and reaching career goals.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
JA focuses primarily on economically disadvantaged schools and communities and strives to provide programs where the need is the greatest.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
JA of South Texas delivers volunteer led hands on experiential learning programs to students. These age appropriate programs are developed nationally by Junior Achievement USA. These programs focus on the three pillars of JA education which are work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
By building lasting relationships with corporate, foundation and individual donors, Junior Achievement of South Texas has sustained impact of its meaningful programs for many years. As students complete JA programs they are given the tools needed to set education and career goals and in turn become contributing members of the community.
